Recently I was reminded how important speaking out really is in this most messed up world we are living in. There are simply not enough voices raised in outrage. I have been absent from posting because of many other activities and responsibilities in my life. I however, received an email the other day from a fabulous dyke who encouraged me to get back in contact with the part of me that needs to take aim and tell the world about some of the bullshit that is going on right underneath our noses. I am going to try to add a permanent link to her blog although I am not sure yet how so for now here it is for cutting and pasting.

There is a lot there to love so please make sure to check her out!
I will just say here how sorry I am to those other folks out there who feel like no one is listening. I guess that is part of the reason I stopped. It was that and being busy certainly. I really got depressed after the election. It was as if a part of me had died. I began to think it was all in vain that no one was listening and that everyone had already been turned into mindless automatons who were at the mercy of the corporate backed treason that passes for government in this country. I decided to turn what little energy I had to the above group (BPI) otherwise known as the Binghamton Political Initiative. We organized a lot of forums aimed at educating and encouraging discussion within the university where I am a student and within the community at large. We have been very successful especially given that this was our very first semester. I am proud to say also that due to the efforts of our group and its members the illustrious Noam Chomsky will be coming to speak at our school next year so of course I am giddy. I suppose all the hope that I tried to surround myself with here in the little safe bubble of a blue-state called

Yes, I still have rage and it is time it reawakened in me. Because the world did not end when Dubya got re-christened the crown-prince of Jesusland, although I really wondered if it wouldn’t. Things are not all doom and gloom and there IS hope as long as there are people speaking out and doing their parts to educate and illuminate the minds of the ignorant masses yearning to think freely all cannot be truly lost!
Thank you, Julie, for re-igniting the fire underneath my tired ass! I am back to rant another day!!
So watch out morons, religious-nuts and republicans because once again,
